Bio

Luísa Guanabara is a screenwriter and screenwriting teacher. 

She has a degree in Radio and TV, a postgraduate degree in Screenwriting for Film and TV (FAAP) and a Master's degree in Literature and Literary Criticism (PUC-SP). 

As a teacher, she taught at the Academia Internacional de Cinema (AIC) from 2019 to 2020 and has been teaching screenwriting at the Museu da Imagem e do Som (MIS) since 2019. At MIS she presented Roteiro & Roteiristas, interviewing prominent figures from the industry.

In cinema, she collaborated on the feature film “Papai é Pop” (starring Lázaro Ramos and Paolla Oliveira) by Prodigo Films and wrote “Boate Azul”, a feature film in development.

On TV, she acted as a story producer on the program Que Marravilha! Delivery (GNT) and on the docu-reality Operação Fronteira (Discovery).

Luísa created the documentary series “Verdades Escondidas” (winner of the Cabíria Award 2020).

She was also the screenwriter for the reality show Juju Boot Camp (E!) and the Brazilian version of the program My 600-lb Life, an Endemol Shine Brasil production for Warner Bros. Discovery, scheduled to debut in 2023.

Luísa also acts as a script doctoring expert, speaker and judge for many film festivals, among them Serie_lab and CCXP Awards.
